Denza D9 Accessories: Why the Seat Backs Matter More Than the Mats
The Denza D9 is a large seven-seat MPV, and most accessory advice written for SUVs falls apart on it. The usual order — mats first, everything else later — is not the right order here. It is also the one car where our three items cover three different build-year ranges, which catches owners out.
What fits, and the years

Read that table twice. If your D9 was built in 2022 or 2023, the mats do not fit — the seat back protectors and the boot liner do. If it was built in 2024, all three are available. That is not an oversight in the catalogue; it reflects when the moulding actually changed.
Why seat backs come first in a seven-seater
In a two-row car, seat back protectors are a minor item. In a seven-seater they are the first thing to look worn, and the reason is simple: reaching the third row means passing the second. Knees, shoes, bags, every single trip.
The damage is also the kind you cannot clean off. A scuffed floor mat is a cleaning job; a scuffed seat back is a mark on the trim, and it is at eye level for everyone sitting behind it.
The floor: three rows of it
Floor mats still matter — there is simply more floor here, used by more people, more often. But they are second in line rather than first, and on a 2022 or 2023 car the decision is made for you: only the 2024-onwards moulding is available.
The boot: a deep well behind row three
With all three rows up, the D9's boot is a narrow, deep well. It is where the luggage goes on the trips these cars actually do, which means it is loaded and unloaded repeatedly with hard-edged cases — abrasion rather than mud.
Note that this is the item with the broadest fit. Boot floors are revised less often than cabin floors, because there is less bolted to them.

That is close to the reverse of what most people buy first, and it is specific to seven-seaters. On a two-row SUV the order flips back.
Check your build year before anything else
On the D9 this is not a formality. The three items genuinely diverge, and a 2023 car has two of them available rather than three. Check the build year stamped on the compliance plate rather than the year you took delivery — cars built late in a year are frequently delivered the next, and that one-year slip is the most common reason a set turns up and does not fit.
